Alyn Abrams

Alyn Abrams is the Cooking School Director at Foxfire Gallery. His culinary career began at age 15 at The Bombay Bicycle Shop Restaurant in Greenville. By age 18, he was enrolled in culinary school at Greenville Tech and continued working such restaurants as The Terrace, Rene’s Fish Market, and Alberto’s. Alyn, continued Culinary School in Atlanta and upon returning back to Greenville worked at a number of other establishments in Greenville. Holly Tree Country Club, Sassafras Southern Bistro, and The Cliffs at Glassy to name a few. After meeting his bride to be, Alyn sort of retired from the restaurant business in order to have a family life of some kind. After a 4 year hiatus from professional cooking while working in the corporate world, Alyn was called back into cooking via teaching classes at Foxfire Gallery & Kitchen Shops. As the Cooking School Director, Alyn schedules all the classes, works with the chef’s on menus, coordinates the assistant program, and teaches many classes. You can most always find him in one of the stores almost everyday willing to share his knowledge and passion for food with anyone with questions.
